trust – Faith + Motivation

During Holy Week, I always have a lot of emotions as the week progresses towards Easter Sunday, especially on this Maundy Thursday. Remembering to trust and that we are to walk by faith are two things that come to mind. Even when things are completely devastating, continuing to trust and keep the faith are important to move forward towards God and His plan for us. How have you trusted God? How have you walked by faith even though you can’t see?

“When I am afraid, I will trust in You.”
– Psalms 56:3

“For we walk by faith, not by sight”
– Corinthians 5:7

I guess you can tell that right now, during this time, I am reminding myself to trust God and that He is guiding me through these uncharted waters. I don’t understand why all this is happening around the world… all over our country, but I am reminded, today, to trust God has a plan. I don’t understand what I need to completely do, but I am reminded God his guiding me towards decisions through discernment. I know that I completely can’t see, but I am reminded that God can because He has created my path… our paths. What does this scripture say to you? How have you seen, through your trust in God, His direction of the path He has set before you?

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not rely on your own understanding; think about Him in all your ways and He will guide you on the right path.” -Proverbs 3:5-6

No Fear

Not fearing anything can be quite scary all in itself. Have you ever felt the overwhelming feeling due to the fact that you didn’t fear what was ahead of you? I feel that everyday… I don’t quite understand how I can not have fear of my future, but I am still overwhelmed, can’t always breathe, nervous, brain never quits problem solving while feeling at complete peace in my soul. It’s so hard to explain and understand, but to me that’s God. I still can’t always see why or where I am going from here, but I continue to move forward without fear. Toby Mac posted “Faith tells me that no matter what lies ahead of me, God is already there”.

You know even though I tend to hit road blocks which means more problems everyday for me to solve, I am glad I don’t do that alone. I read somewhere the other day something to the effect of… She stands bold and confident on the outside, even though she is overwhelmed and scared on the inside, facing whatever lies ahead. I don’t mind others seeing that I can be overwhelmed and scared, but I want them to remember most that those feelings didn’t stop me from standing bold and confident with courage. It’s all due to the trust and faith that I have in God that I can do this. He is the rock I lean against daily. Stand firm Faith + Motivation friends… God’s got you!
