Reflection Day 3
I am not a theologian, but to me Psalms 17 is a protection of prayer that seems to request God to hear what prayers are being asked and answer these prayers through His protection. Do you pray for protection? I do! I pray daily for protection. I pray for my family’s protection. I pray daily that God leads me into taking the right steps at home, at work, at church….. as a mom, as a wife, as an educator, as a friend, and as a faithful follower of God. Even though I slip and fail, I work hard everyday to not slip as I step. I focus on not slipping and following what is asked of me. I ask for His protection through all that life throws at me. Because we all know that life is going to throw things we are prepared for and those that we are not so much prepared for each and everyday! I see God’s protection throughout my daily life. I see this protection with decisions I make, and some I don’t quite understand; however, when I look back and reflect, I see His protection. When I reflect, I can see how my answers were answered by His will, not necessarily what I was asking for. What does this scripture mean to you? How do you keep following His path no matter what life throws your way? How have you seen God’s protection lately?
