Reflection Day 17

Have you ever just longed to fit in? Fit in a group of friends? Fit in at school? Fit in the group of higher ups to feel important? Fit in at your job with your colleagues? Well, I remember during upper elementary and junior high longing to just fit in. At the beginning of both of those times, I had moved to new towns. Making friends and keeping them was tricky. Who can you trust? Who has your best interest at heart?

Since, all of you who know me know, I am not anywhere close to the box that others fit in. I’m all the way outside the box. It took me many years to be okay with that, but here I am and I am perfectly fine with that. My true friends tend to be outside that box, too! You know, God is wherever you are. Like Jerusalem in our scripture, He will not let us fall. He is our stronghold! He will not let us be short of how He made us to be. Embrace your differences! Embrace your gifts! So, today, reflect upon how amazingly different you are because you are fearfully and wonderfully made in His eyes!
