Yesterday as I watched a few UMC pastors, they all read from Luke 24 and talked about the resurrection morning and the Road to Emmaus. This morning I read those words and kept reading until the chapter end. You know, discovering that Jesus wasn’t in the tomb to Him walking among the men as they argued of whether the report from the women was true, I sat and thought have I missed Jesus walking beside me? When were my eyes opened like the men’s were at the table? Then as I read further until the end of the chapter, I came to the scripture above. Not only have I seen Jesus in different ways, through others giving hearts, but I am to be here as His hands and feet until it’s my time to sit at His feet in Heaven. So, today I reflect on how I might be doing that. Are my eyes open to continue to see Jesus in others? Am I continuing to be His hands and feet? What plans does God have for me to continue to be who He wants me to be? These are my thoughts… what are yours???
