Reflection Day 23
Today as I reflect, I would like to take time for an intentional prayerful thanksgiving for everything that has been given to us. Even though we are in trying times, giving thanksgiving through prayer is refreshing and much needed. Whether you connect and pray as you run, walk, yoga meditation, sit on your patio, hammock, or even your favorite chair, let’s take the time to pray for peace and give thanks. In Philippians, Paul writes about the the two ways for peace in his world: peace within troubled circumstances and peace within the environment (HCSB Study Bible Notes). Today, we need the same peace to be within us. Peace for our circumstances of shelter-in-place. Peace for our nation with the virus. So today, take time to pray with me with this scripture in mind.
“Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let our requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and mind in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:6-7
